Vikter Duplaix is celebrating the launch of our new monthly party series, REDIREKT, with a freepodcast featuring the freshest forms of dance music, including Dubstep, Moombahton, Glitch, Soul, Kwaito, Deep House and more. The first of the monthly series kicks of Tuesday, October 18th at Cielo, and we can’t wait to see you there.

Giant Step and Vikter Duplaix announce the start of a brand new monthly party called REDIREKT. The music and format will represent the freshest forms of dance music today including dub step, deep house and everything in between. Both Giant Step and Duplaix are responsible for spearheading the best new music from Europe & the US and have created this party to showcase these sounds.

Vikter, who is making his first NYC appearance in over a year, states, “As much as I love playing DJ sets loaded with familiar ‘hits,’ I feel the global nightlife experience has been missing the excitement of soundscapes with a fresh approach to music. With this new residency, I hope to REDIREKT your listening palette to the future of sexy dance music.”

GRAMMY Nominated Singer/Producer/DJ/lifestyle event curator Vikter Duplaix is a musical alchemist weaving global culture, independent thought, fine arts and progressive music into a purely golden lifestyle. The Philadelphia native’s raw DJ skills were honed on the streets of his hometown along with turntable legends DJs Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money. His DJ sets and vocal performances have taken him all over the United States to Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and beyond. Vikter co-starred on the BET reality DJ competition series Smirnoff’s Master of the Mix in 2010 and currently curates several nationwide nightlife event series while hard at work on his third studio album, LOVEmachine, set for release in 2012.
